The 107 Cortex has added weight and smaller head size for extra control for the tweener player. The stiff racquet produces a powerful, spin-oriented swing. The Pure Drive 107 Cortex also benefits from Babolat’s Woofer and Cortex technologies, which increase ball/racquet contact and suppress impact-vibration, respectively. Cortex is very useful in preventing tennis elbow.

Product Review:
I have been playing with two Babolat Pure Drive 107's for about a month now. I play 7-10 times per week. I have found great access to spin and power. The racquet is a good bit heavier than a normal OS, but this frame remains extremely maneuverable. I find nice pop on my serves and volleys, but with almost all shots, if hit flat, the ball will sail. For players who use spin on most shots this is a great choice, and for those looking to gain spin this should be on their list to demo. Great stick. Would recommend to anyone at or above the 3.5 level due to the fact that it takes some discipline to harness the power of the Pure Drive series. John, MS, USA.
